To TV or Not TV

So, your MatchGirl and Boyfriend have been trying to figure out the necessities of our move. Like, do we really need to have television.

Now, gentle readers, before you get up in arms, it's not that Boyfriend and I don't like television. We're actually both big fans of the boob tube and some of the great things that appear on it these days. And, unlike a lot of couples, we like most of the same shows and movies.



But I have been spending a lot of time thinking about what I want to do when we move in together and how I imagine our lives to be. And while I spend a lot of time in my post work hours with my eyes glued to the 13" screen of my laptop, I usually do it with the larger screen of the television making noise in the background. And many an evening, Boyfriend and I watch some television or a movie until we're sleepy and ready to crawl into bed.

And I don't want that for our new life together. At least not for the beginning.

So we talked about it. And we're still figuring it out. But it looks like we won't be starting our living together connected to Time Warner Cable.
